AKA to hold America's Sunday Supper Jan. 19

America's Sunday Supper will be held Jan. 19 at 6 p.m. in the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. room of the Neal A. Stitt building at 801 Poplar St., sponsored by Epsilon Phi Omega chapter.
Community members will come together to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. There will be a meal and conversation about issues that affect this community.
The speaker will be Conley Oates. He is vice president of the State Employees Credit Union in Rocky Mount and is also Area 1 director for the Association on North Carolina Alphamen for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.
As director, he covers five alumni chapters, including Kinston, Greenville, Elizabeth City, Ahoskie and Rocky Mount, and four college chapters, including East Carolina University, Elizabeth State University, North Carolina Wesleyan and Chowan College.

The chapter will also host a Preparing for Success workshop Jan. 20 at 1 p.m. in the Alpha Kappa Alpha room in the Neal A. Stitt building. The speaker will be Dr. Sadie J. Carter with St. Augustine University.
