An arrest has been made in an early June shooting outside the grocery formerly known as Manhattan's.
The Goldsboro Police Department announced Friday that Javarius Rashad Wiliams, 20, has been charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied conveyance in operation, weapons possession and providing false information to police. He has been placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $210,000 secured bond.
Williams allegedly shot at and struck the vehicle of Antonio Lamm on June 3, outside of what is now Beestown Grocery at 905 S. Slocumb St..
Lamm was able to leap from his vehicle unharmed, but the car continued to roll across the street and into a fence.
Williams was interviewed several times by police before being declared a suspect and was arrested Tuesday during a traffic stop conducted by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
