School Street School fourth-grader Iyahna Timmons, 10, reads her report on actor Sidney Poitier as she and fellow students give their reports on historical black figures to celebrate February as Black History Month this week. Besides doing reports on nationally important African-American figures, students also did reports on local black leaders who have made names for themselves as educators, politicians and entrepreneurs.
