A Goldsboro man charged with trafficking in heroin is in the Wayne County Jail under a $1.5 million secured bond.
Carsheme Jamil Ruffin, 24, of 303 Leslie St., was arrested by the Goldsboro Police Department's Drug Squad on Thursday.
He was taken into custody at an apartment at 206 Hereford Road in Dudley. In his possession, according to the police report, were five grams of heroin, 50 doses of alprazolam -- commonly known as Xanax -- and six doses of hydrocodone.
Ruffin also faces charges for possession of controlled substances and possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver controlled substances.
His initial court date has been set for Monday in Wayne County District Court, where he is already due to appear in April on similar charges.
