Not waiting for spring

Michelle Branch, a first-grader at Dillard Academy, removes weeds from the flower bed at the school's garden. FoodCorps, Dillard Academy and WAGES hosted a Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service at the garden on Monday. Volunteers spent the morning planting and weeding. A lunch was held after the hard work. The ingredients for the meal came from the volunteers' home gardens.
