Serial shoplifter
On seven occasions, each documented on video by store security, a known female suspect has entered the Sam's Club on North Park Drive and left without paying for concealed DVDs and video games. The sum of all the items reported stolen comes to $1,598.
SUV break-in
Someone broke into a 2002 Ford Explorer Thursday and stole $8,500 worth of property. According to a police report, the vehicle belongs to Hanice Fields Johnson, 54, and was parked in the 600 block of Whitfield Drive just after 7 p.m. Her purse was stolen, along with a Coach bag, a wedding ring and band, other jewelry and a Sam's Club gift card.
Copper theft
A hot water heater and copper piping were stolen from a home at 404 Stronach Ave. on Thursday. the owner stopped by to check on the property and found the door kicked off the hinges and the items gone. The total value of the stolen property and damage was estimated at $800.
