DGDC holding downtown photo contest

The Downtown Goldsboro Development Corp. is accepting entries for a photo contest today through Sept. 21 with the 12 selected finalist photos to be featured in the 2013 Downtown Goldsboro Calendar.
The Goldsboro Area Photography Club will select 12 photos to be finalists, three from each category. The top prize photo from each of the four categories will be chosen to be featured on the calendar cover. All 12 finalists will receive a copy of the calendar.
Individuals are allowed to enter one photo in each of two categories. The categories include architecture, art, nature/vegetation and wildcard. The wildcard is a category for any photo that doesn't fall into the realm of the other categories.
All photos must be taken within the Downtown Municipal Service District. A map of the MSD can be found on the DGDC website at dgdc.org.
All submissions must be made through the website.
