Back-to-school dates for the rest of the county

The majority of Wayne County Public Schools are slated to begin Monday, Aug. 27, with the exception of Dillard Middle and Goldsboro High schools, which start Aug. 23.
Two other schools are already in session. Students at Wayne Early/Middle College High School, on the Wayne Community College campus, and Wayne School of Engineering, housed at Goldsboro High School, returned to class Aug. 6.
The first workday for teachers in the traditional schools will be Monday, Aug. 20.
Open house events ushering in the new school year will be next week.
