It only took 22 minutes for 23-year-old Jaquees Miller to get shot, but it is taking much longer to find his killer, Goldsboro police say.
Miller left his girlfriend's house at the Goldsboro Housing Authority's West Haven Apartments Aug. 6 at 2:20 a.m. He was found lying dead in a nearby yard less than a half hour later.
Police have released no more information concerning the investigation since that early August date. Recent requests for updates on the progress of finding suspects in the case still yielded no details.
Calls to the department Monday went unanswered and messages left were not returned.
As with any open case, community involvement is essential to a resolution.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Goldsboro Police Department at 919-580-4216, or to contact Crime Stoppers 919-735-2255.
