Firefighters from Dudley and Mount Olive fire departments were dispatched to the scene of a working vehicle fire endangering a structure at 115 Ranch Drive, just off of Kelly Springs Road, about 2 p.m. Tuesday. Firefighters arrived on the scene and found the service truck belonging to Bobby Denning Inc. fully involved, sitting next to a single-wide mobile home. The cause of the fire was believed to be a generator in the back of the service truck. The owner of the mobile home was Bobby Denning Realty. No one was living in the home, and no injuries were reported. Damage to the mobile home was estimated at about $500, while the service truck and equipment were declared a total loss. Firefighters and Wayne County EMS Station 9 remained on the scene for about an hour.
