Members of Boy Scout Troop 8 salute the flag while it is lowered to be retired during the troop's flag retirement ceremony at New Hope United Methodist Church. Troop 8 performed the proper ceremony in retiring a flag, which is to ceremoniously burn it. The troop retired 1,502 flags on Saturday.
