For the third time in less than a week, members of the Goldsboro Police Department have been called to investigate a shooting.
Jaquan Amahd Dennis, 19, was shot in the foot Monday afternoon while standing in the EZ Choice Tinting parking lot at 300 W. Grantham St.
He told police that he and his friends were outside the business when, at around 1:30, he heard multiple gunshots. He said, initially, the group fled and hid behind a building.
But when Dennis noticed that he had been shot, he was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Monday's incident marks the third reported shooting in the city in the past four days.
Khryie Roberts, a 21-year-old city resident, was killed Thursday after being shot several times outside the Madison Market Grill and Grocery.
And Sunday, a 15-year-old was riding in a car on Olivia Lane at just after 4 p.m. when someone in a vehicle parked at its intersection with Carver Drive opened fire.
All three investigations are currently ongoing.
Those with information are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 735-2255.
