Emily Bryan and Jordan Parks celebrate the verdict.
Less than an hour after two words rocked a Wayne County courtroom, two of the men found not guilty in the 2008 shooting of a local store owner celebrated their freedom with family members and friends.
Joshua Davis and Quentin Kenon were released at just after 6 p.m. after a jury determined the state did not meet its burden in a first-degree murder case that began early last week.
The third defendant, Rashard Oliver, remains in custody, however, as he accepted an Alford Plea in 2010 for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill in connection with the shooting at Brookside Convenient Mart that ultimately left Ribhi Kandeel dead.
