Goldsboro Police are searching for a suspect in a mid-morning bank robbery in downtown Goldsboro.
A statement from the department said a white male took an undisclosed amount of money from the Wells Fargo located at 301 E. Ash Street.
The suspect was wearing a dark colored sport coat and light colored pants with white tennis shoes and a tan bucket hat and was described as between 45 and 55 years old.
Several police cars arrived at the bank building at the corner of Ash and William streets shortly before 10:30 a.m. and officers were seen inside and outside of the bank throughout the rest of the morning.
No one was being allowed inside and officers at the scene would not comment, although the bank doors were locked and the bank drive-thru window was closed.
The bank will be closed for the rest of the day but is expected to open Wednesday morning.
