A 43-year-old Goldsboro man is in the Wayne County Jail this morning after being charged with sexually assaulting a girl 30 years his junior.
Wen Bao Zou, of 511 Boxwood Lane, Apt. E, was charged Friday by investigators with the Goldsboro Police Department with indecent liberties with a minor and statutory sex offense.
The mother of the 13-year-old victim filed the report with police Friday afternoon.
Zou was arrested at his home.
Officers said the charges stem from multiple incidents that allegedly occurred between January and March.
Police reported that Zou and the teen were acquaintances at the time of the alleged assaults, but declined to comment how the two knew one another.
Zou's address was confirmed as 511-E Boxwood Lane off Cashwell Drive.
Zou and the victim do not share a home, police said.
Zou was placed under a $700,000 secured bond, according to police and jail records.
