Man assaulted, robbed
Pedro Nazario reported that he was the victim of an armed robbery Monday about 8:15 p.m. in front of his home in the 1700 block of East Holly Street.
He told authorities that an unknown man followed him from Madison Meat Market, on North Madison Avenue, and when he approached his home the suspect put a silver handgun to his neck and robbed him of the $400 cash in his pocket.
B&Es and larcenies
*Demarko Briggs reported the theft of a .40-caliber semi automatic handgun from his home in the 600 block of Isler Street. Briggs claims the Black Taurus PT 140, valued at $300, was taken from his bedroom closet between Friday and Sunday.
*Allen Sutton reported that he witnessed an unknown suspect remove his scooter, valued at $1,500, from outside of his home in the 700 block of North Claiborne Street in the early hours of Monday morning.
*Billy Wade reported the larceny of his 2008 scooter, valued at $350, from outside his home located in the 100 block of Dupont Circle that took place Monday. Wade told authorities the steering wheel of the scooter was locked, and the suspect(s) would have had to have carried away the vehicle.
*Veronica Lopez reported a break-in at her home in the 100 block of Exxum Mill that occurred Monday. Entry was made by a back door of the home being pried open. Property was stolen from the residence that included a camera, cash and jewelry. The total value of the goods was listed a $1,000.
*Goldsboro Paving Company owner Billy Britt reported his business at 125 Heather Drive was broken into between Saturday and Monday. The front door was listed as being "popped" open. A desktop computer, valued at $1,200, was reported stolen.
*Jim Wiggins reported the theft of a $2,000 a/c unit from his property in the 6500 block of U.S. 70 East that occurred between Sunday and Monday.
