Thief sought in robbery attempt

The Wayne County Sheriff Office is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect of an attempted larceny that resulted in the loss of $60,000 of material for a local business.
Crop Production Services employee Thomas Crews reported the incident that took place between Monday and Tuesday at the commercial property located at 141 Luby Smith Road in Princeton.
A hole was drilled into a stainless steel 4,500 gallon tank containing the chemical Round Up, resulting in a spill of 2,500 gallons of the poison on the ground.
An employee of the Wayne County Office of Emergency Services responded to the scene to provide hazardous material safety advice, but no elevated cleanup measures were required.
