Investigations
*Tasha Price reported a break-in at her home in the 200 block of Sandstone Drive that occurred between Feb. 26 and Wednesday. During the incident the following items were reported stolen, a laptop, two DVD players, a Wii game console, Wii games, a speaker box and jewelry. The value of the goods was listed at more than $4,000.
*Earl Oliver reported $5,000 in tin roofing sheets stolen from a turkey house located in the 200 block of Drummerville Road that took place between Jan. 26 and Feb. 26.
*Eagles Nest Diner employee Amber Capps reported a break-in at the restaurant, located at 516 N.C. 581 S., that occurred between Tuesday and Wednesday. A rear door was forced open to gain entry. A flat-screen TV, valued at $500, was reported stolen.
*Country View Western Store employee Trey Worrell reported the theft of a three-point hitch, valued at $800, that occurred between Feb. 2 and Feb. 3. The grading equipment was stolen from behind the business, located at 4070 U.S. 70 E.
*Tiffany Alford reported the theft of a 9 mm handgun in the 1100 block of Royall Avenue. Ms. Alford told authorities that she put the handgun on the trunk of her vehicle as her tire was being changed. The handgun fell of the trunk and an unknown man picked it up and left the area, she added.
