Burglary suspect sought
An investigation into a break-in at a home in the 1500 block of Humphrey Street in late January resulted in the arrest of one man and the identification of second suspect who Goldsboro police are trying to located.
During the break-in, about $1,700 worth of furniture and a TV were stolen from the home.
Byron Devaun Wallace, 26, of 900 N. Madison Ave., was arrested Wednesday on charges of second-degree burglary and felony possession of stolen property. The charges were the result of an investigation into the break-in, investigators said.
Wallace was placed in the Wayne County Jail under $10,000 bond.
Douglas Adam Weisner, 26, of 3232 Salem Church Road, is wanted on the same charges for the same theft.
Police are asking anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Weisner is asked to call police at 580-4203 or Crime Stoppers at 735-2255 or text Crime Stoppers at 273-6585.
Break-in try
Kmart employee Doris Smith reported that an unknown suspect(s) threw two large rocks through a glass door of the business, located at 201 N. Berkeley Blvd., and entered the garden center. The break-in occurred between 9 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 a.m. Thursday that resulted in $1,500 in damage. It was unknown at the time of the report if any merchandise was stolen.
