Metal thefts occur at houses, apartments, business
An air conditioner valued at $2,500 was stolen a home on the 200 block of Patetown Road between July 16 and July 26. The home is a vacant rental property.
Unknown suspect(s) tampered with an air conditioner at home on the 900 block of North Center Street between July 25 and July 26 causing $1,500 in damage and stealing $40 of copper pipe from the unit
One air conditioner was removed from the upstairs of a home at 1001 East Walnut Street, and the copper components of a second a/c downstairs was stolen. The thefts were listed as occurring on July 1, but were reported on Wednesday.
An office building at 112 North William Street had $7,000 worth of flashing and valleys stolen from near the top of the building. During the theft, $3,000 in damage was done to the roof.
