Children ages 6-17 who wish to participate in a community choir sponsored by the Goldsboro chapter of Continental Societies are invited to audition Saturday, June 19, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Wayne County Public Library on Ash Street.
Children should be accompanied by an adult and should be prepared to sing a selection of their choice. A total of 35 participants will be selected by a panel of judges. Victoria Ruffin, music teacher at Dillard Middle School, will serve as the choir's director.
Enthusiasm and the ability to perform will be considered along with singing talent.
A debut performance by the choir is tentatively scheduled for July 17.
For more information, call Victoria Ruffin at 344-8345, Patricia Stokes at 736-8306 or Anetta Reid at 738-3801.
