Saturday pecan orchard tour open to all interested

Tim and Karen Haithcock will host the N.C. Pecan Growers Association for a spring orchard tour and workshop on Saturday. The event is open to anyone involved or interested in pecan farming.
The cost is $15 and includes lunch. Registration starts at 8 a.m.
The workshop will include orchard demonstrations and discussions on weed and pest control, production and marketing. The format will be informal and offer participants time to talk with other growers and program presenters about specific production questions and issues.
Growers, specialists from N.C. State University and N.C. Cooperative Extension and a marketing specialist with the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services will be on hand.
