Wayne Junior Miss contestants sought

Contestants are being sought for the Wayne County Junior Miss pageant.
Informational meetings for interested girls will be held Sunday, May 2, at the Mathnasium Learning Center at 2517 E. Ash St., and Monday, May 10, at 6:30 p.m. at the Bridal Gallery at 2806 Cashwell Drive.
There is no entry fee and the contest is open to any young woman graduating from high school in the spring of 201 that legally resides in Wayne County.
Junior Miss emphasizes excellence in five categories of competition: Scholastics, talent, interview, fitness and self-expression.
Wayne County Junior Miss program is an official preliminary of the America's Junior Miss nationwide scholarship program.
The young woman chosen to be Wayne County Junior Miss for 2011 will go on to compete in the North Carolina Junior Miss program in February. The North Carolina Junior Miss program awards cash scholarships as well as tuition scholarships throughout the state.
