Duplin Education Foundation offering scholarships

The Duplin County Education Foundation is taking applications for several county scholarships. Applications and descriptions of scholarships are available at www.duplinschools.net. The deadline for application is April 16. Check with your guidance counselor for your local school deadline.
Available scholarships are listed below:
*L.S. Guy Scholarship, $500, one per high school
*Dr. Tommy Benson, $500, one per high school
*Unity Methodist Church, $1,500, one per county
*Delta Kappa Gamma, $500, four per county
*William L. & Bobbie G. Hennessee, $1,000, one per North Duplin, three per county
*The Florist at Warsaw, $1,000, one per James Kenan
*Harold Precythe, $5,000, one per North Duplin, interview
*Lois Precythe Teacher, $5,000, one per North Duplin, interview
*Nelson Precythe, $5,000, one per North Duplin, interview
*Susan A. Graham, $2,000, one per North Duplin
*WRH Class of 1977, $1,000, one per Wallace-Rose Hill
*WRH eclub Rotary, $1,000, one per Wallace-Rose Hill
*Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, $500, one per county
*The Pam Edwards Scholarship, $500, 1 per East Duplin
*The Pam Godwin Scholarship, $860, 1 per county
*The Duplin County Education Foundation Schoolwires Technology Scholarship, $500, 1 per county

Scholarship, honor students and seniors will be honored at East Duplin and James Kenan school districts, grades seven to 12, on May 5. For North Duplin, Wallace-Rose Hill and Duplin Early Colllege school districts, grades seven to 12, the date will be May 6. The celebrations will be held at the Kenan Memorial Auditorium in Kenansville, beginning with receptions at 6:30 p.m. each night and programs at approximately 7 p.m.
