Man shot Sunday
On Sunday morning just before noon, a Weaver Drive man was reportedly shot in the back by a man he didn't know while in the 900 block of Day Circle, police said. The bullet reportedly exited the front of the Darryl Devon Dunn's chest, near the 20-year-old's right nipple, according to a police report. He was treated and released from Wayne Memorial Hospital and released, according to the report. Dunn's brother Brandon Dancy was reportedly with his brother during the attack, police reports show, but did not indicate if Dancy was an eye witness. Police Sgt. Chad Calloway said that police had just started investigating the two shootings and that he had no more information than was on the report before talking to an investigator who had worked a late shift investigating the cases.
