Stolen car
Mary Hardy, 37, of Taylor Street, reported the theft of her gray four-door sedan. According to police, someone had taken the keys from Ms. Taylor's pocketbook.
Armed robbery
Claude Eugene Artis, 48, of South Slocumb Street told police that two black males kicked in the door at his boarding house room and robbed him at gunpoint. Taken were a $20 wallet and $400 in cash, a debit card and an identification card.
Vandalism to car
Teronzo Robert Hicks, 33, of 204 Kennon Ave. said someone did $4,000 in damages to his car by pouring sugar into the vehicle's gas tank.
ATV stolen
A 2007 yellow Suzuki four-wheeler was reported to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office as stolen from Tony's Service Center, North Breazeale Avenue, Mount Olive. The theft was reported to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office by Tony Grady, 57, owner of the business. Another $100 in damages were done to a fence and gate.
Church break-in
Someone forced open a door at Northeast Original Free Will Baptist Church, 489 Northeast Church Road at Mount Olive. Taken were a TV/VCR combo valued at $100, two 18-gallon plastic tubes with clothes, snacks and personal items valued at $250 and 10 canned food items valued at $30. Damages totaled $100 to the door and frame.
