Paramount to hold anniversary gala

On Saturday, Feb. 14, the Paramount Theatre will hold its first anniversary Celebration Gala.
The featured performer for this year's event will be Goldsboro High School graduate Jean Bradel.
Ms. Bradel, a world-class lyric spinto soprano, has performed as a guest artist with opera companies in Basel, Switzerland; Wiesbaden, Germany; Vienna, Austria and with Italy's Opera Barga.
She also spent four years as a solo artist at Landersthe-ater Linz, Austria.
Ms. Bradel received her undergraduate and master's of fine arts degrees in voice from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
Since returning from Europe, she has performed across the country, including with the North Carolina Symphony.
Currently she is working as an associate professor of music at Millersville University, on the staff of Central Pennsylvania Voice Care Institute and at her own private voice studio.
Ms. Bradel is featured on the Wayne County Museum's Wall of Fame.
The event will begin at 7 p.m.
