Senior Center offering health class on nutrition

The Wayne County Senior Center began hosting a 10-week health education program on nutrition today.
The Steps to Health Older Adult Program is a grant-funded nutrition education program that will be taught by Christine Smith, family and consumer science agent for Wayne County Cooperative Extension Services, the program focuses on learning to make healthy food choices and preparing healthy meals on a budget.
The class will run from 10 to 11 a.m. on Mondays in Mount Olive and Tuesdays in Goldsboro.
Anyone who is interested can still sign up this week by calling Ms. Smith at 731-1525.
It is free to seniors 60 years old and older.
