Rabbit hounds peer from their dog box Saturday morning near Pikeville as they wait for their owners to get started. Monty Pitt, Sherrod Donn, Morris Reid and Herman Poole were rabbit hunting off of Mt. Carmel Church Road.
Rabbit hunters were out in force around Pikeville Saturday. The hunting season will last until the end of February.
