Goldsboro police haven't connected a charged suspect to a string of other vehicle break-ins in and around the city, but say a Jefferson Street man is responsible for at least six off of Buck Swamp Road Wednesday.
Goldsboro Investigator Dale Foster reported that Christopher John Giesey, 33, was charged Thursday with six counts of breaking or entering a motor vehicle, two counts of misdemeanor larceny and two counts possess stolen goods.
A magistrate set a $150,000 bond for Giesey, 33, who was jailed at the Wayne County Detention Center, according to his arrest report.
Giesey first came under scrutiny when two Goldsboro officers saw him walking south on Salem Church Road.
The two officers stopped Giesey, and found items that they believed could have been stolen, according to a news release.
Giesey is scheduled for a first court appearance on Wednesday.
Police said their investigation into Giesey's involvement in the Goldsboro-area vehicle break-ins is not closed.
