On Sunday, Oct. 12, The David John Aaron Teaching and History Museum at 137 East Main St. in Mount Olive will be celebrating the unveiling of an original movie poster of the film, "See Here Private Hargrove."
This film is based on the best selling novel written by Mount Olive native, Edward Thomas Marion Lawton Hargrove Jr.
The story is a series of humorous anecdotes during Hargrove's tenure at boot camp in the early days of World War II.
Two of Hargrove's children, Martha Hargrove Haeseler and Stephen Hargrove, will be present for the unveiling.
A rare copy of the movie itself has been donated, as well, and will be shown informally during the reception.
The movie can be viewed at later times, by appointment, at the museum, by contacting Judy Britt Parks, chairman and co-coordinator of the event.
Mrs. Parks may be reached at 658-5664 or 635 9287.
A reception will be held at the museum from 2 until 4 p.m. on Sunday. Friends, family, and the general public are invited to attend.
