Area Christmas parades already looking for entries

Entries are being sought for three of the Christmas parades being planned for local communities.
The Goldsboro Jaycees will hold their parade on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 4 p.m. in downtown Goldsboro. The theme will be "A Charlie Brown Christmas," and entries are now being accepted. Entry forms must be postmarked by Nov. 22.
Entry forms are available at the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, 308 N. William St., and at the Downtown Goldsboro Development Corporation on Walnut Street. After Oct. 15 they also will be available online at www.goldsborojaycees.org. For more information, call parade chairman Austin Scott at 345-1919.
The Town of Seven Springs will hold its parade on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 3 p.m., with a rain date of Nov. 22. Anyone interested in participating is asked to call the Town Hall on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at (252) 569-5241.
The Town of Eureka will hold its parade on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 3 p.m. No entry fee is required but participants are being asked to take canned goods for the needy and cash donations for the same purpose. To enter, call 242-5064 or 242-3146.
