Murder suspect arrested
One of the men accused in the murder of Eric Lamont Best was apprehended on Wednesday, according to Goldsboro police reports. Cleveland Lavon Ward, 30, was jailed Wednesday without privilege of bond, police said.
9 B&E cases cleared
Evidence collected after two men were arrested Wednesday cleared nine break-in cases in the city of Goldsboro, an investigator said. Investigator Chris Crawford said William Earl Warren, 19, of East Holly Street and Forrest Edward Darden, 17, Vanderbilt Circle, were connected to break-ins at a Dairy Queen, St. Mark Church of Christ, Carlie C's IG, Dollar City Tobacco and Burger King, police said.
Thefts
*Hector Garcia of Truevine Road, Pikeville reported a lawn tractor, clothes dryer and pressure washed worth $1,750 stolen from his residence on Wednesday, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office reported.
*George Yates of Mark Edwards Road, LaGrange, reported a utility trailer stolen from his home on Wednesday, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said.
*Danrell Leah of Edinborough Lane, Dudley reported a GMC Yukon worth $8,000 stolen from his residence on Wednesday, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said.
Charges
The Goldsboro Police Department reported these charges:
*Donald Paquette, 35, East Walnut Street, breaking and entering, $2,000 bond.
*Daniel Glenn Craft, 16, South Fernwood Place, second-degree trespassing, written promise to appear in court.
*Antonio Devon Lamm, 21, Courtyard Circle, communicating threats, $1,000 bond.
*Laketta Shanwtel Williams, 19, North John Street, injure personal property, injure real property, written promise to appear in court.
*Marynell Dingle, 48, South Andrews Avenue, assault by pointing a gun, communicating threats, written promise to appear.
*Mariah L. Fields, 17, Olivia Lane, second-degree trespass, written promise to appear.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office reported these charges:
*Cory Jame West, 29, Southern Drive, Dudley, three counts assault with a deadly weapon, $2,400 bond.
