The Small Farm Unit at the Center for Environmental Farming Systems is seeking apprentices interested in learning about sustainable agriculture production, research and education.
No previous knowledge of sustainable farming is necessary. Apprentices will learn from an assortment of activities related to organic farming, as well as play an active role in the small research farm's community involvement in Wayne County.
Start and end dates of the apprenticeships are flexible, and they can be short-term or long-term.
The program offers a small stipend and housing in addition to food from the farm.
