Deadline for Wayne County Reads voting approaches

Voting for the 2009 Wayne County Reads book will end Friday.
Readers should cast their ballot by midnight for the book or books they wish to read and discuss in the sixth year of the countywide "one book, one community" reading project that will kick off in January.
The following are the nominees:
n "House Made of Dawn," N. Scott Momaday, published in 1969.
n "The House of the Spirits," Isabel Allende, published in 1982.
n "The Books of Dr. Seuss," Theodor Seuss Geisel (1904-1991).
n "Blackbeard: America's Most Notorious Pirate," Angus Konstam, published in 2007.
n "Fahrenheit 451," Ray Bradbury, published in 1953.

Wayne County Reads is organized and supported by many community partners. Books explored have been "To Kill a Mockingbird" (2004), "Big Fish" (2005), "Night" (2006), "Walking Across Egypt" (2007) and "Blood Done Sign My Name" (2008).
