MOUNT OLIVE -- Butterball of Mount Olive has given the Girl Scouts North Carolina Coastal Pines a $1,000 donation.
"We are pleased to support the great program of Girl Scouting and know that this donation will have a meaningful impact here in the 41 counties of central and eastern North Carolina which the council serves," said Mark Best, chairman of the plant's Caring Associates' Planned Sharing program.
The Mount Olive facility is the largest turkey processing plant in the world and employs more than 2,600 people.
