Armed robberies investigated
*A retired Whitted Court woman was robbed at gunpoint in her home along with three friends visiting her, Goldsboro police investigators said.
Three men stormed Linda Bell's home when she answered the door to let in her friend Ralph Hayes of Wayne Avenue.
Two friends, Yulanda Shealy of Keith Place and Tammy Sanders of Slaughter Street were also robbed.
Two of the men were armed with handguns and commanded their victims to get on the floor during the robbery, police said.
*A Wayne Memorial Drive Wendy's employee was hit in the head after refusing to hand over money during an armed robbery early Saturday morning, city police said.
Staff members were also forced to enter the restaurant's freezer, police said.
Employees said a black man with medium build wearing a dark brown jacket entered through an unsecured door with what appeared to be a handgun wrapped in light-color cloth.
Theft reported
Gail Merritt of Toyota of Goldsboro on North Oak Forest Road reported a white 2007 Camry worth $22,000 stolen from the car lot, Goldsboro police said.
