Construction on the Paramount Theater grows closer to completion day by day. Work on the Center Street landmark is on schedule, with the facility expected to reopen in February — almost three years to the day that it burned. The revamped building will seat 500 people and feature state-of-the art lighting and sound, a wider and deeper stage and a new three-story lobby and balcony overlook, along with an elevator, new loading dock and actors’ annex. More than $500,000 in private gifts have helped pay for the $5 million project.
