Fall Garden Festival planned for Saturday

The Cooperative Extension Service and the Wayne County Master Gardener Volunteer Association are sponsoring a Fall Garden Festival and Plant Sale Saturday for people to come in any time from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wayne Center located at the corner of George and Chestnut streets.
Presentations will be held on topics like composting, pruning, attracting birds to the landscape and fall vegetable gardens.
There will also be activities for children and plants for sale.
At 11 a.m., there will be a presentation on "Dealing with Fire Ants in the Home Lawn" presented by Jessica Hyatt, Wayne Co. Extension horticulture agent.
The festival is free to the public. No registration is required. For information call the Extension Office at 731-1525.
