Investigations
Law enforcment officers are investigating these reports:
*Ricky Simmons of North Daisy Street reported Tuesday someone broke into his home and stole a shotgun and rifle, all valued at $175.
*Officials at the Target store on Sunburst Drive reported the theft of a $249 television set. Witnesses said they saw a man and woman come into the store, load the TV onto a shopping cart and leave with it. They were last seen going south toward Berkeley Mall in a 1995 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck. Both appeared to be in their early 20s.
*Officials with the Wayne County Public Schools reported Tuesday that someone did $500 damage breaking into four vehicles at the 811 Bain Street parking lot and took about $2,010 worth of tools. The rear windows were broken out of two vehicles. The older model vehicles included two Ford Econoline vans and two Dodge Ram 1500 vans.
*Somebody removed several catalytic converters, valued at $13,419, from 17 vehicles parked at Goldsboro Honda, 1309 W. Grantham St.
*Someone passed a fake $100 bill at Best Gas and Grills, 4453 U.S. 117 Alternate, Dudley.
