Drug arrests
The Goldsboro-Wayne County Drug Squad raided a home at 101 Sanborn Place Monday and made two arrests. William David Lindsey III, 23, of Old Page Road, Durham, was arrested for possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana. Bond was set at $5,000. Dwight Jase Bell, 19, of Hillsboro Street, Mount Olive, was charged with possession of marijuana.
Assaults reported
*Linda Joyner Billings reported someone she knew attacked her with a knife and a baseball bat Saturday in the 300 block of North Street.
*Isreal Roosevelt Wynn reported someone tried to run him off the road with their vehicle Thursday on Emmaus Church Road near Sleepy Creek Road.
Burglary suspect
A second arrest has been made in connection with a break-in that occurred at a home on Sir Richards Drive in Pikeville. Corey Bruce Yancey, 25, of Sir Richards Drive, Pikeville, was charged with breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen property. He is being held on a $10,000 bond. Cammie Davis Green reported someone broke into her home in the 100 block of Sir Richards Drive, Pikeville, and stole a laptop computer, 25-inch television, patio furniture and other items, all valued over $9,715. Most of the property has been recovered and returned to the owner, Wayne County Sheriff's Detective Sgt. Carl Lancaster said.
Thefts investigated
*Someone stole 1,000 feet of copper wire from off of turkey houses from a business in the 100 block of Ada Stroud Road, Seven Springs.
*Deena Rose Pate reported someone broke into her vehicle while parked at a business in the 2000 block of U.S. 70 West and stole a JVC CD player and charger, 450-watt amplifier and a 17-inch subwoofer, all valued at $440.
*Dwight Lee Morrissey reported someone broke into his car while parked at a business in the 2000 block of U.S. 70 West and stole a CD player and a 300 watt amplifier, all valued at $500.
*Cammie Davis Green reported someone broke into her home in the 100 block of Sir Richards Drive, Pikeville, and stole a laptop computer, 25-inch television, patio furniture and other items, all valued over $10,000, according to the sheriff's report. An arrest has been made in the case.
*Someone stole a set of tires and rims off a car at Faison Auto Sales in Seven Springs.
*Benjamin Kyle Saylors reported someone broke into his truck while it was parked at his home in the 1900 block of East Mulberry Street and stole an IPOD and a GPS navigation system valued at $750.
*Allen Turbeville said someone broke into his truck while parked at his home in the 1900 block of Beech Street and stole a CD player, valued at $350.
*Thomas Channing Griffin said someone broke into his truck while it was parked in the 1800 block of North William Street and stole a CD andDVD player, valued at $900.
