Goldsboro police work to surround a black bear that was spotted on the railroad tracks near Elm Street early this morning. The hunt for the bear, which was about 5 feet tall, began at about 8:45 a.m. when the animal was spotted in a neighborhood off Whitfield Road. Law enforcement officials called in the county game warden and might bring in Raleigh wildlife experts in to tranquilize the animal and move him to safer quarters.
