FOUR OAKS -- Summer camp has officially begun at Camp Tuscarora, but it's not too late to sign up.
Boy Scout officials say there are several slots still open, especially for the younger boys.
Tuscarora Boy Scout Council Executive Harold Keller said the calendar is packed for the camp this week and next week with special events. Camps run from Sunday to Saturday.
The council has added a national caliber BMX track to its camp. The track covers more than an acre with a momentum building downhill start, three gravity-defying curves, four major jumps and more than 20 smaller jumps scattered throughout the track.
The council has also added a skateboard park for skaters to hone their skills.
The council is also offering a variety of camps, including a special day camp for younger Cubs and Webelos July 9-13.
