Summer starts for Wayne students

Northwest Elementary first-grader Jeremiah Williams gets a big hug from Principal Alex Wingate as he leaves school for summer vacation Thursday. Wayne County finished up their school days for the year Thursday and are not due back until August. Wingate also said his goodbyes, too. He will retire from the school district this summer.
