Suspect sought in Mount Olive murder

MOUNT OLIVE -- Mount Olive police have launched a countywide manhunt for the suspect who shot and a killed a 27-year-old man Friday afternoon and left him in someone else's front yard.
Police responded to a shooting at 217 S. Center St. at about 5:30 p.m. and found Bobby Seaberry of 206 S. Jefferson St., suffering from a gunshot wound.
Mount Olive Fire Department and Wayne County Emergency Medical Services responded and transported Seaberry to Wayne Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Meanwhile, police canvassed the neighborhood, developed a suspect and immediately put a lookout for 24-year-old Ahmad Stewart.
A warrant for an open count of murder was issued for Stewart. Stewart is a black male who stands 5 feet, 7 inches tall. He has black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information about Stewart's whereabouts is asked to call Mount Olive Police Department at 658-5031 or Goldsboro-Wayne County Crime Stoppers at 735-2255. All information will be kept confidential.
Seaberry's murder is the third death logged last week in the county and the fourth for this year.
