O'Berry staffer elected to State Employees post

An O'Berry Center staff members has been elected Eastern Regional Representative for the State Employees Association of North Carolina.
Carolyn Davis, a native of Greenville, has worked at O'Berry for 28 years and is currently the Educational/Vocational Director. She is the chair for District #60, which consists mostly of O'Berry employees and has nearly 900 members. At the district level, she has served as chair, vice-chair, by-laws chair, policy platform chair and scholarship chair.
At the state level, she was a member of the state scholarship foundation committee and chaired the state policy platform committee and training committee.
The eastern region is the largest in the state, carrying 15 districts. Ms. Davis' duties will include communicating important information to those in her district. She will also serve as the regional resource for the districts in the eastern region.
