While officials at City Hall wait for renovation and restoration efforts to begin next door, crews are busy knocking down another building on Center Street. Phase III of the City Hall project is nearly complete, officials said. Officials approved the demolition of the city's annex building -- the place where most residents used to pay their water bill -- to make room for more parking downtown. Demolition was originally scheduled to occur after restoration efforts at the original City Hall were complete, but officials decided to move forward with the phase to free up additional space for those who will start work later this year.
