Now that Gov. Mike Easley has signed the $145.5 million allocation for a new Cherry Hospital, officials said they are uncertain about what will happen to the existing facility. Sen. John Kerr III, D-Wayne, said he hopes the state will donate some of the buildings for use by Goldsboro and Wayne County governments.
