Operation Fan-Heat Relief, a special project that provides electric fans to senior citizens, is now underway across North Carolina.
The fans are purchased through donations made by public utility companies in the state and the program is managed through the state Division of Aging and Adult Services.
People age 60 and older who meet program guidelines are eligible through a local service provider designated by the regional Area Agency on Aging.
For more information on the program, and how to apply, contact the local agency, or call Nancy Evans at the Division of Aging and Adult Services at 919-733-0440.
