*Mariah Zheng also reported a break-in this weekend. Mrs. Zheng said when she arrived at her Warrick Circle apartment, it appeared her home had been broken into through the front door. More than $2,500 in goods were stolen from inside, including a DVD player, camera and jewelry box with possessions inside, she said.

The persons in the vehicle got out and beat Batten before taking his scooter, wallet and more than $300 in cash, he said.
